Kichcha Sudeep’s action thriller 'Max' has garnered over Rs 32 crores in its first week at the box office, with Rs 2.25 crores collected on day 7, according to Sacnilk. The film had a strong opening with Rs 8.7 crores on day 1 but saw a gradual decline in collections, averaging around Rs 4 crores. Directed by Vijay Karthikeyaa, 'Max' features Kichcha Sudeep, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and others in key roles. The film's occupancy rates varied across Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil versions.

With over 220 releases, 2024 proved to be a mixed bag for Kannada cinema. Star-driven films Bheema, Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, Bagheera, UI, and Max drew crowds to theatres, while experimental films Blink, Shakhahaari and Murphy found their audience on OTT platforms
